But Kristen Stelzer came in first because her chatbot was so strong all the way through … the start, the middle, and the close. Creating a close is perhaps the hardest part of writing a chatbot script, and Kristen nailed it. "I loved teaching the program … and was super-proud of what everyone achieved." Kristen was really excited to be awarded the $2,000 check as the Chatbot Challenge Winner. She shared some thoughts about the training and what the experience meant to her: "I took the chatbot course because I love learning, and this was a different writing style for me. I write long-form B2B content, so focusing on a shorter piece was a fun challenge. Especially in a conversation … because while I write in a conversational tone, that's different than writing a give-and-take dialogue. We also wrote for a B2C company, which allowed me to play and be a bit lighter with my language than I normally am. And that makes all of my writing better. "I've already talked with some clients about using my shiny new chatbot skills as part of their lead-gen strategy. It's a nice pairing of my skills since I often write lead-gen white papers or case studies. "And the course itself was great. I usually dread webinar-based courses, (typically, I wait till the recordings come out so I can watch them at 2x speed!). But Nick taught with humor and at a pace that kept me engaged. Jim and James — the whole team — were generous with their time answering questions. And, as usual, the other members in the course were encouraging and supportive in the Facebook group!"
