WEEK IN REVIEW --------------------------------------------------------------- November 16 ? 20, 2

[AWAI]( WEEK IN REVIEW --------------------------------------------------------------- November 16 – 20, 2020 Hi {NAME}, I shared this poem during our staff Thanksgiving Zoom lunch yesterday. To me, it speaks to who we are as a company and to who you are as part of our community of writers. Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy Thanksgiving, Katie When Giving Is All We Have Alberto Rios One river gives Its journey to the next. We give because someone gave to us. We give because nobody gave to us. We give because giving has changed us. We give because giving could have changed us. We have been better for it, We have been wounded by it — Giving has many faces: It is loud and quiet, Big, though small, diamond in wood-nails. Its story is old, the plot worn and the pages too, But we read this book, anyway, over and again: Giving is, first and every time, hand to hand, Mine to yours, yours to mine. You gave me blue and I gave you yellow. Together we are simple green. You gave me What you did not have, and I gave you What I had to give—together, we made Something greater from the difference. What's Trending A project too good to pass … Here's an interesting (and different) opportunity for writers … It's a way to make up to $2,000 on average working with clients …  … without writing a single word of copy. Fact is, this interesting "profit" opportunity doesn't require any significant amount of writing at all. If you can: - Follow a checklist … - Scribble down a couple of notes … - And then present it to a client …  … you have what it takes to make $2,000 on average, every single time with this. [Watch the video briefing on this special kind of project here.]( [Click to watch online]( And one more video for you if you're looking for the formula for a recession-proof, six-figure life … [Click to watch online]( From Jen Stevens: I was sitting on the front stoop of our tidy brick home, my seven-week-old baby on my lap, when my husband came home and told me he'd just lost his job. Instead of panicking, we went out for sushi. Were we in denial? No. Just lucky enough to have a recession-proof contingency plan that will earn me more than $200,000 this year, working from home. Mine is not an extraordinary story. My colleagues and I are just everyday folks like you — some with college degrees, some not. Yet, we enjoy careers with a level of job security and income most people only dream about. She liked writing, and before she even completed her training, an amazing thing happened … Celebrating Your Success 🎉🎉🎉 It's so true, Robin … a copywriter's superpower is helping to solve problems. It's impossible for what you're learning from AWAI not to have a positive impact on everything you do. Keep up the great work! I'm writing because I'm starting to see how the way AWAI has trained its copywriters is changing the way I now do things. And I wanted you to know it. Recently, I've had to sell some of my late father's belongings – an arduous but necessary task. But many good things have come out of that task, including reuniting with people I haven't spoken to in years because our paths have taken different directions over time. And having an extra jingle in the pocket helps with incidental expenses and getting bills paid, especially during a time in which my usual work – substitute teaching – has been anything but predictable. But that's still not the reason I'm writing to you today. I'm writing to tell you that the basics taught by AWAI can help people make connections in ways I never thought possible – even in selling Dad's farm and garden machinery! You see, one of the things I learned that has clicked with me is that when I sell something, I'm solving a problem or meeting a need. Forget conventionality when it comes to sales. By making this one tweak in my mindset about selling, I found that I write my Facebook Marketplace ads differently from most people now. Some people still have their ads showing that their items haven't sold yet, and those were posted last year … for the same items I just sold! In fact, the results from my most recent ads were getting close to five items sold within three days, and three items this week were sold within 24 hours! So, I'm on a roll. Will it always happen this fast? Nope, it might take a little while for the right person to reach out to me, or it might be even faster. I just know that the way I write even Facebook ads has changed for the better. It's taken a while for me to understand some things as I go, but I'm still going. Thanks for your help and encouragement. – Robin Fry [Living the Writer's Life: Michael J.
