But have you ever wondered WHY that is? Science is giving us some answers … Researchers at UC–Berkeley have found that certain regions of our brain literally "light up" when we're told a story. And as if that weren't crazy enough … It may be because our brains are reacting as if we're experiencing what's going on in the story! One possible reason: Neuroscientists have found that when you're really into a story, the brain releases oxytocin — the chemical associated with love, trust, and empathy. Now, why should you, a working or aspiring copywriter, care about all this? Well, it's not just fiction that this happens with … It's with ALL kinds of stories, including those in sales copy!
