Join a community with like-minded people to make sense of this election together [Take Action Now!] Dear friends, My heart is so heavy, it feels like my body can barely carry it. Climate change, lost today. Women’s rights, lost today. Getting guns out of schools, lost today. Tolerance, lost today. All the issues I’ve spent my whole life fighting for are in peril. Staring at the map of our country today makes me feel so deeply and utterly alone. But we are not alone. And we don’t need to hold today alone. Here is a special invitation to join an Avaaz community with like-minded people trying to make sense of this election together. [Join our Facebook group]( All emotions are welcome. This will be a place where we share inspiration, support each other’s suffering, learn from this moment and make plans for standing back up in resistance…because we do have plans and this will not stop us! One thing I love about being part of Avaaz is that we are a global movement. Never forget that America is not the center of the universe. There is a vast global network of people just like us who will not stop until our planet is safe, wars are ended, and women’s rights are protected. We. Are. Not. Alone. With love and determination, Nell, Nana, Bia, Gabi, Nax, Fernando and the whole Avaaz team Avaaz is a 70-million-person global campaign network that works to ensure that the views and values of the world's people shape global decision-making. ("Avaaz" means "voice" or "song" in many languages.) Avaaz members live in every nation of the world; our team is spread across 18 countries on 6 continents and operates in 22 languages.
