Schedule of Events: Friday, October 25 (evening): Welcome Reception Downtown Detroit, Exact time and location TBD Join other out of state volunteers, campaign staff and Michigan leaders and candidates for some food, drinks and a whole lot of joy! Saturday, October 26: Morning and afternoon canvass shifts Metro-Detroit area, Exact times and locations TBD Sunday, October 27: Morning canvass shift Metro-Detroit area, Exact times and locations TBD Hotel recommendations: Detroit Foundation Hotel: 250 W Larned St, Detroit DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Detroit Downtown: 525 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit Transportation: There will be transportation from downtown Detroit to and from the Saturday and Sunday canvass locations but other transportation is up to the individual. If you have the ability to rent a car, we recommend doing so. Otherwise, rideshare and shuttles should do the trick! You can absentee vote in person at your local clerk’s office now. If you’re not registered, you can register before you vote absentee in person. The polls are also open for early voting this year. You can vote early in Detroit on October 19 and statewide on October 26. Find out where to early vote here. Bring a photo ID, but if you do not have one or forget yours, you can sign a simple affidavit and still vote.
