[View this email in your browser]( Michael’s Monday Motivation Choice & Contrast This advice from the brilliant David Axelrod always stayed with me. He said that an election is about reminding voters that they have a Choice and educating them about the Contrast difference between candidates. As we prepare for continued political conversations, from New York primaries to the first Presidential Debate of this cycle on Thursday at 9pET, it's important to remember that we have a choice and that there's nothing wrong with amicably and cordially sharing that there is a difference between options. So as you decide on Ice Cream (I choose Rum Raisin) or best R&B band (Jodeci might be the winner), please have that same reflection when describing our options within Democracy, especially leading up to and after the Debate. We have a Choice and there is Contrast. Embrace the power that we are not the same and even more, that we have a Choice! Michael Blake’s New York Endorsements Congressman Jamaal Bowman Assembly Member Landon Dais Jordan Wright for Assembly William Wagstaff for Westchester District Attorney Stefani Zimmerman for Assembly KAIROS Conversation with Rob Donahue and Darien Flowers Rob Donahue Director, Center for Civic Engagement Northwestern University Robert J. Donahue is an experienced social entrepreneur, educator, nonprofit professional, and higher education administrator. He has been engaged in a variety of additional civic and community efforts, including helping to found the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Chicago (YNPN Chicago), which is now part of a national organization supporting professional development in the public sector in 39 U.S. cities.
