We arrived to find the [animals living in heartbreaking conditions and exhibiting signs of neglect.]( Some suffered untreated medical issues that required immediate attention and removal on an emergency transport. Neonate kittens were found dehydrated, with fleas, and with concerns of anemia and upper respiratory infection, while one dog showed signs of severe anemia. Among the stench of feces and ammonia, dogs and cats were living in unsanitary kennels with conditions like overgrown nails, fleas, and eye infections and disease.
