House progressive caucus members should be afraid of what will happen to them if they even any actio

House progressive caucus members should be afraid of what will happen to them if they even any action that could be seen as being pro-Israel. {NAME},  In May 2024, following the death of Iranian president Raisi, the Iranian people overwhelmingly elected Masoud Pezeshkian who campaigned on reconnecting with the west, the lifting of sanctions on Iran, and a generally more liberal foreign policy. The Iranian people elected Pezeshkian because they saw him as an off ramp to a dangerous cycle of escalation between Iran and Israel. Pezeshkian tried to hold true to his mandate until the bitter end…  In August, Israel assassinated Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, in the Iranian capital Tehran, a major offense against the nation’s sovereignty. The Supreme Leader of Iran  Ayatollah Khomeini and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp pushed to retaliate for the strike. But the new president still argued to not retaliate but to seek accommodation through negotiations.  According to the Associated Press, The US promised Pezeshkian that if Iran did not retaliate on Haniyeh’s murder, Iran would receive massive sanctions relief along with a negotiated ceasefire in Gaza. Look at what it got them: The Iranians finally learned the talks were a ruse when Israeli air-strikes killed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah and a major architect of the Iran led Axis of Resistance, along with the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Israel then launched a ground operation into Lebanon. The assassination of Nasrallah demonstrated that Pezeshkian's politics of moderation had failed. On Tuesday, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps launched a volley of some 250 ballistic missiles towards Israel. It was disgusting and un-American of the Biden administration to hold out the olive branch towards Iran’s moderate pro-deescalation President only to pull it away as soon as Israel was ready for their next surprise attack. Even more disgusting is the lack of condemnation from the broad majority of House Progressive Caucus members, Congress’s most left-wing faction, over Biden’s diplomacy fake out against Iran. House Democrats need a tea party-like faction that can make Biden and future administrations face real legislative consequences for bucking diplomacy and kowtowing to Israel’s pro-WW3 agenda. House progressive caucus members should be afraid of what will happen to them if they even take an action that could be seen within even a modicum of being pro-Israel. That’s where we come in, the only way we can defund Israeli apartheid in Congress, is by taking aggressive action to unseat House Progressive Caucus members who are still pro-Israel despite everything that the pariah state of Israel has done.
