And we need you to take action with us [View in Browser]( [Amnesty International candle logo]( Dear {NAME}, Over the weekend, the Israeli army recovered the bodies of six hostages killed in Gaza, including one Israeli-American. This news is absolutely heartbreaking. Every single day this horrific crisis continues, the lives of the remaining hostages and the lives of more than two million Palestinians are in incredible danger. This immense suffering and bloodshed must come to an end. Here’s what you can do: Right now, we are urgently focused on protecting human rights and preventing more suffering. Our calls have not changed since the beginning of this conflict, and we need the power of our ten million supporters around the world right now (that includes you) to rise up and demand: - [A permanent and immediate ceasefire]( to prevent further loss of lives, secure the safe release of remaining hostages, and bring a desperately needed end to the human-engineered humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. - [A suspension of U.S. weapons]( sales and transfers for as long as the Israeli government is using them to violate international law. [Will you take one minute out of your day to take an emergency action with us?]( [We’ve made it easy to send a letter directly to your senators, representatives, and the Biden administration urging an end to the violence.]( We need your voice. [TAKE ACTION]( Our teams have not rested since this conflict began: conducting investigations… collecting testimony… meeting with members of Congress… and shining a spotlight on human rights violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel. But {NAME}, we’re only able to be successful because of the millions of people who bring our research to their local lawmakers, who pick up the phone and call their leaders, and who will stop at nothing to hold power to account. Like many, we are filled with grief and rage in response to the unprecedented violence over the past eleven months. And we won’t sit back in silence. [Please join us today.]( Thank you, Nadia Daar Chief Strategy and Impact Officer Amnesty International USA [DONATE NOW]( © 2024 Amnesty International USA 311 W 43rd Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10036 | 1-800-AMNESTY Please don't reply to this email.
