We need your monthly support to help with ongoing recovery efforts on the ground. [Americares]( Dear friend, Hurricane Helene made landfall nearly a month ago, closely followed by Hurricane Milton — marking the third major storm to devastate the Southeastern U.S. in just over a year. As Americares continues to respond to these disasters, I want to share how we are helping communities facing unimaginable loss and destruction. But before I share more about our work on the ground, I need to ask for your help, friend: [Will you become a monthly donor and serve as a reliable source of support during our ongoing response to these hurricanes and other crises around the world?]( With your monthly gift, you become a Hero for Health and help make a powerful difference for communities facing a long road to recovery in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and beyond. [Start your monthly gift]( Right now, our monthly donors are providing reliable, consistent support for our urgent response efforts to restore health care in communities impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. In the last month we have: - Shipped more than 6 tons of medicine and relief supplies to partner organizations in affected areas, including 5,600 hygiene kits, diabetes medication, baby formula and 1,900 tetanus vaccines to protect survivors cleaning up the damage. - Established a mobile medical unit to help meet immediate health needs of survivors. - Installed 4 water filtration systems that can produce up to 17,000 gallons of safe drinking water a day for thousands of hurricane survivors who lost access in the storm. - Provided mental health support to the survivors and first responders who have endured — and lost — so much in these hurricanes. - Awarded over $750,000 in emergency funding to partner organizations to replace damaged medication, repair facilities, and support other storm-related expenses. But there is still so much work ahead of us in this long road to recovery. Your monthly gift will enable us to continue these vital efforts in the Southeast and respond to an average of 35 emergencies each year. [Start your monthly gift]( [Can we count on you to join our team of monthly donors? Together, we can bring hope and healing to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton and other disasters around the world.]( Thank you for your generosity and commitment to saving lives, friend. With gratitude, Rhonda Moore Vice President, Direct Response and Integrated Marketing Americares P.S. Your ongoing support fuels the lifesaving work we do at Americares. If you can’t commit to a monthly gift today, [please consider making a one-time gift to help survivors of disasters and crises on their long road to recovery.]( Americares 88 Hamilton Avenue Stamford, CT 06902 | (203) 658-9500 © 2024 Americares.
