The FTC’s agenda to bolster competition includes measures that will lower costs for American families, challenging junk [patent listings]( that raise the cost of prescription drugs, curbing [hidden fees]( on items such as hotel bookings and concert tickets, improving pricing [transparency]( simplifying the process to [cancel]( subscription services, and uprooting price-fixing schemes. Notably, the FTC has taken action to halt anticompetitive practices that increase the cost of housing, filing complaints against companies for [price-fixing]( in the rental market and [violating]( truth-in-advertising standards.
