Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 [] August 15, 2024 [] Reader, Testosterone levels have dropped substantially in American men for the past 50 years. In fact, itâs reached alarming levels⦠The average male testosterone levels have declined by at least 1% per year since 1982, climbing to an overall drop of 44% today. But millions of men have perfectly normal testosterone and still experience the symptoms associated with low-T. Theyâre suffering an overload of estrogen and donât even know it. As a physician, Iâve spent decades researching the problem of excess estrogen in men. Iâve had to â because estrogen overload in aging men has become epidemic. Sure, some of it is natural. Your estrogen levels can increase as you age. But most is due to your daily exposure to a rising tide of residual hormones in your food and water⦠chemical xenoestrogens leaching out of plastics⦠and phytoestrogens hidden in food. These alien estrogens mimic estrogen in your body. And they destroy your delicate balance of estrogen and testosterone. And itâs no joke because high estrogen is every bit the virility killer as low testosterone. Nothing erodes your masculinity faster than rising levels of the âwomanâs hormoneâ and all these synthetic xenoestrogens coursing through your veins. Men become more feminine, tired, depressed, and unable to perform in the bedroom. Chest muscles soften into breasts. Spare tires build up around the middle. It also leads to a low sperm count. If youâre over a certain age, donât think that having a low sperm count doesnât matter. Researchers are beginning to realize that dramatically reducing a personâs reproductive capability severely threatens almost every other aspect of their health. Studies show that men with low sperm counts, for example, have a:1 - 30% greater risk of diabetes
- 48% greater chance of developing heart disease
- 50% increase in the likelihood of being hospitalized for any cause Iâve been sounding the alarm on these alien estrogens for almost 30 years. Today, the problem is so overwhelming, the world is finally beginning to pay attention. And itâs about timeâ¦because these hormone-disrupting chemicals are everywhere. Some are pesticides, some are industrial chemicals, and others are used to soften or harden plastics. Youâll find them in cosmetics, perfume, cash-register receipts, deodorant, hair spray, air fresheners, nail polish, insect repellent, carpet, vinyl flooring, shower curtains, antiperspirants, plastic bottles, and the dashboard of your car. The list goes on and on. In our modern world, we canât escape them. U.S. industry alone produces over 6 billion pounds of them annually. Theyâre omnipresent and have even been detected in Antarctic sea ice.2 Blood tests show theyâre present in up to 99% of the population.3 As the Endocrine Society stated, âThey can be detected as part of the body burden of virtually every tested individual animal or human.â In other words, itâs almost impossible to escape them. But there are solutions to counteract the effects of this alien estrogen invasion. - Reduce your exposure to estrogen-mimicking chemicals. To do this, you can: - Eliminate pesticides from water with a water purifier.
- Buy grass-fed, hormone-free protein.
- Choose wild-caught, mercury-free fish.
- Avoid processed carbs that cause excess insulin, which builds fat and stimulates feminizing estrogen.
- Eat high-fiber foods that absorb excess estrogen.
- Avoid storing food in plastic.
- Use organic personal-care products.
- Eat foods that balance your hormone levels, such as: - Oysters are the original zinc-rich testosterone booster.
- Beans have more zinc than any other vegetable.
- Broccoli is one of the best foods for eliminating estrogens in the urine.
- Cabbage is high in fiber which is great for flushing estrogen.
- Brussels sprouts are rich in estrogen-targeting fiber.
- Garlic contains diallyl disulfide, which produces testosterone naturally.
- Sweat it out. I recommend every patient at my clinic detox with an infrared sauna. Infrared light penetrates several inches into your tissue. This releases debris from the fat underneath your skin. It also allows your body to free toxins stored in other organs and tissues. In one study, sweat from a traditional sauna was up to 97% water. But sweat released in an infrared sauna was only 80% water. The remaining 20% was made up of fat-soluble toxins like xenoestrogens.4 To Your Good Health, Al Sears, MD, CNS --------------------------------------------------------------- References: - Choy J, Eisenberg M. âMale infertility as a window to health.â Fertil Steril. 2018 Oct;110(5):810-814.
