“You never know who is looking for you…” One of the coolest things about freelancing

“You never know who is looking for you…” One of the coolest things about freelancing (imo) is that potential clients are literally everywhere. The person cutting your hair… The yoga studio you go to 2x a week… The mechanic changing your oil… Last week, I [asked my community]( to share the weirdest or most unexpected way they’ve ever landed a client… We’ve collected over 60 responses (so far)… I loved this one that Ryan, a [Season 5 Launch Padder]( shared in our group👇 👏👏👏 He didn’t spend hours upon hours searching online job boards… He didn’t send 1000s of cold outreach emails… He had a REAL conversation. And just like that, Ryan landed his very first client. How epic is that?! I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again and again… People buy from those they like, know and trust. So many copywriters fall into the trap of only relying on Upwork, Fiverr, social media and cold outreach to source new clients… And those are great strategies that can work. But the fact is… It’s 10x easier to get people to like, know and trust you when you’re chatting with them in real life. Because they get to know the real you. Not the "online, on my best behavior, ultra professional" version of you. The real you. When I was a freelance copywriter, I got my first few clients networking with people IRL… It doesn’t have to be so damn complicated... It can be easy... It can be flowy… And it can be super freakin’ FUN (yes, even if you’re an introvert 👀). {NAME}... If you’re a copywriter who wants to hit $10K/month, stress less and have way more fun while doing it… I’m putting together something super exciting just for you. More deets coming soon… Alex 😘 P.S. I’m thinking about combining all of the weird and wonderful ways for getting clients that the Posse shared with us into a massive free resource for you {NAME}... Would you be interested in something like that? Hit reply on this email and LMK 😉 ABOUT: Welcome to the Copy Posse, you’re now part of the raddest, baddest crew of copywriters on the Internet over 500,000 strong. You’re here because you signed up somewhere on my website and I’m glad you did.
