Twin Peaks managers mandated lingerie 'dress-up days,' federal complaint claims
Employees of the Dallas-based Twin Peaks restaurant chain are alleging that they were sexually harassed and subjected to a hostile work environment when [they were forced to wear skimpy costumes they had to pay for themselves and were ranked in a weekly report evaluating their bodies](.
A Chicago attorney, Tamara Holder, said on Thursday that she has filed federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints on behalf of three workers at Illinois locations of the chain and a fourth former employee planned to sue for breach of contract.
But in the EEOC complaint, Blaylock said that although she agreed to wear a work-provided uniform — a v-neck shirt, shorts, knee-high socks, and boots — about six months into her job, managers started imposing "dress-up days," that went far beyond what she signed up for.
Women servers and bartenders were forced to don lingerie and bikinis they bought themselves in "the dead of winter," for a "Snow Bunny Week."

Don't look now, but D-FW's hot home market has probably peaked
Real Estate Editor Steve Brown writes:
If you just got your property tax appraisal, news that Dallas-area home prices are growing at the slowest rate in six years may not add up.
My tax appraisal landed in my mailbox like a bomb, notifying me that the taxman has added another $38,000 to the assumed value of my almost century old shack in East Dallas.
[In the last five years, the tax appraisal on my house has gone up almost 70 percent](Â -- an even bigger jump than the North Texas area average sales price increase of about 55 percent since 2013.
Those huge home price gains in North Texas may be waning.
That said...:Â [North Texas is hanging onto its top spot]( for U.S. home construction.
While some make the cut...:Â [Ford promises to shed]( most of its North American vehicle lineup.
... others are ramping up: [Toyota Motor Corp. will spend $170 million and hire 400 workers over the next year]( to overhaul the Mississippi factory where the Japanese auto giant makes Corollas, the world’s all-time best-selling vehicle, the company announced on Thursday.

Curious Texas: Why does Texas seem to have so many loose dogs?
The recent mauling of a South Dallas woman served as the latest reminder of the city's longstanding struggles with loose dogs.
Natalie Valles of Forney wanted to know why. Specifically, she asked Curious Texas: [Why are there so many stray dogs in Texas?](
Curious Texas is an ongoing project from The Dallas Morning News that invites you to join in our reporting process. The idea is simple: You have questions, and our journalists track down the answers.
