They were near the floating anti-migrant barrier recently installed by Gov. Greg Abbott. The barrier is another example of the deadly impact of border militarization, which has cost thousands of migrant lives. As Congress debates next year’s budget, tell them NO more funding for border militarization! [At a New Jersey women’s group, survivors find healing and support:]( Every month, a group of women gather at AFSC’s office in Newark, New Jersey. All are immigrants who moved to the U.S. for a better life. Most are survivors of domestic abuse. Many are mothers who’ve worked to keep their families together. Now they’re learning from each other and advocating for more just, humane immigration policies, writes AFSC’s Guissela Galindo. [Will you join our work to end Israeli apartheid?:]( Earlier this year, AFSC and a coalition of faith groups and other organizations launched a new initiative to end Israeli apartheid.
