To do the long-term work, we need monthly donors providing funding we can count on. [AFSC logo]( [GIVE MONTHLY]( [AFSC aid workers distributing food parcels in Gaza](   [Become a Partner for Peace]( [GIVE MONTHLY](   Dear Friend, I’m so grateful for the many ways supporters like you have stepped forward over the past year. The generosity of the AFSC community has been lifesaving for people in Gaza. It has also helped many others worldwide who have been displaced from their homes or had to flee unsafe conditions. AFSC has been supporting Palestinian refugees since 1948. Since last October, we’ve delivered food for more than 500,000 people, water for more than 64,000, and hygiene kits for more than 12,000. We’ve also engaged more than 19,000 children in recreational activities to give them moments of joy and help them cope with the trauma they are experiencing. With your help, we’ll be there long after the current violence ends, helping people heal and rebuild their lives. [One of the best ways to bring longer term support to people in Gaza and others facing violence and oppression is to join AFSC as a Partner for Peace.]( Partners for Peace are a special group of committed supporters who make steady monthly donations throughout the year. I can’t overstate the importance of this predictable source of funding when so much else is unknown! Donations from supporters like you do more than provide humanitarian aid. They also help address root causes of violence and achieve lasting social change. Just this month, we brought women Nobel Peace Laurates together in Washington, D.C. in a call for peace—one of many ways we’ve been a strong voice for a cease-fire in Washington. Perhaps you are among the tens of thousands of supporters who have joined us in sending letters calling for arms shipments to be stopped, hostages and prisoners released, and the violence ended. Your support helps us work for social change on other urgent issues, too, such as keeping immigrant families together. Our commitments to communities around the world depend very much on yours. [Please become a partner in our worldwide work by starting a monthly donation today. We’re seeking at least 107 new monthly donors by Sept. 30.]( In peace, [Joyce Ajlouny ] Kerri Kennedy Associate General Secretary for International Programs [GIVE MONTHLY](   American Friends Service Committee 1501 Cherry Street Philadelphia, PA 19102 United States [AFSC.org]( | [unsubscribe](
