Hi {NAME}, When you're promoting a product in a competitive market, it is highly helpful to have a unique way through which the product delivers its promised results. This unique method is called a "mechanism." For example... In the personal development niche, a non-unique mechanism, would be meditation. e.g. Use our meditation track to get a blissful night’s sleep. It’s not that it won’t sell, but it doesn’t stand out. It’s a commodity, no different from other meditation tracks aimed at helping people sleep better at night. Here’s a more unique mechanism: Use our theta-wave infused “Blissful Sleep” guided meditation track, to get deep and relaxing nights sleep. Now it’s more unique, it’s ‘theta-wave infused’, and it’s a specific ‘blissful sleep’ guided meditation track. Not just any one-size-fits-all meditation track. It’s specific, and it has a unique feature to it. So now a potential customer will think, this is the only place I can get this particular solution. As an affiliate, the unique mechanism(s) for the offer you’re promoting are probably already obvious and can be easily found in the affiliate area by browsing through the swipe emails. But be sure to use that mechanism in a compliant way if using it in advertising copy. For example: If in the email swipe for an offer, it promises people can lose 10 pounds in 20 days while eating donuts, thanks to the ‘every other day diet’… Then this might be fine for an email, but it won’t be compliant for a FB or Google ad. Instead, you could still use that big idea, but in a different way. Here’s a suggested rewording: Thanks to “the every other day diet”, you can still eat your favourite foods in moderation, while still supporting your weight loss goals. This way the claim has been softened to be more realistic for a wider portion of the population… …But it maintains the unique mechanism. So, the key takeaways from this newsletter update are: - Make sure to use a unique mechanism in the advertising of any product you are promoting, in order to stand out and not get ‘commoditised’. - Do this in a compliant, slightly softened manner. Without what could be termed as exaggerated claims. That brings me to the end of today’s newsletter update. Did you enjoy it? Do you have anything in particular you’d like me to cover in upcoming newsletters? Please reply to let me know. Your feedback is important to me. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
