Protect Trans Youth from Harmful Legislation

Transgender youth are facing a mental health crisis, and new findings reveal the alarming toll that anti-trans laws are taking on their well-being.  In states where these harmful laws have been passed, suicide attempts among transgender teens are on the rise. We need to take immediate action to protect these vulnerable young people.  More than 20 states have recently pushed through laws that restrict health care, limit participation in sports, and erase affirming education for trans individuals. These measures not only strip away fundamental rights but also leave lasting scars, especially for trans youth.  Amit Paley, CEO of The Trevor Project, has called this a public health emergency, emphasizing the life-threatening impact of these laws.
