I'm talking about the loss of memory from working in big corporations. (Yep, it's a thing!) I witnessed it first hand in a recent FB group interaction. This guy we'll call Jimmy was venting about being unable to "earn money by providing value to the world through automations that don’t involve him personally". He cited big companies like Nike, Apple, and Google which don't need to talk to human beings to earn their revenues, because they have "all the data". This is a classic case of corporate amnesia - forgetting what it's like doing business with real humans, as a real human in a small business. (Un)fortunately the world is not a machine with inputs and outputs. It's a self-organizing system that's completely interconnected. Human beings have emotions, hopes, dreams, fears… They make good decisions and bad decisions. You can't just pump data for the answers to your business dilemmas. There are going to be times when you have to take an educated guess. Go for it, give it a shot. Talk to a human being. Experience their ups and downs. Deal with the drama. You can't abstract all of that away with numbers. You can't squeeze money out of a database… No matter how much "value" you add or "automation" you apply. You have to remember that you're dealing with human beings. Even Nike, Apple, and Google know they're dealing with human beings. Even if their (ex) employees seem to forget that sometimes. If you want to build a business that does NOT involve connecting with human beings to solve a problem, provide a service, or educate and inspire… Then for the good of all, [please do NOT purchase AccessAlly](=) to create a membership or course website. This software was designed for people who CARE about their members and want to create a unique experience for each person… If you understand that this is a people-to-people business, then you won't need to vent about why things aren't working because you’ll be well on your way to success. -Nathalie "remember the people" Lussier You're getting this email because you opted in for my email experiment.
