, I love brilliant thinkers, mammoth business minds, and epic entrepreneurs. I love people who make big things happen, doing things far differently than their contemporaries. I love strategic thinkers, innovators, value creators, and those who defy convention. These are the individuals who stimulate, motivate, and fuel breakthroughs in others. I’ve run many masterminds, in fact, I’m a partner in a $48,000 one right now. These experiences bring a wonderful integration of ideation, fraternalism, and lifestyle experiences. But, my first love has always been (and still is) to deeply engage with minds far superior to my own—thinkers who understand aspects of the puzzle that I don’t and experts who are not just world-class but are also classy, humble, and authentic. For years, I toyed with the idea of buying a compound on a cliff in Northern California above the Pacific to create the ultimate collaboration dynamic of million-watt, "halogen-bright" minds. Our purpose would be to meet regularly, exchange our diverse perspectives, and collaboratively tackle group members' challenges, leveraging the vast experiences and intellectual prowess this high strata of the mammoth mind “collective” possesses. It would be to stimulate unprecedented breakthrough thinking, near-boundless expansive thinking, outrageously inventive—and otherwise unattainable levels of both deductive and inductive thinking—all emanating from direct (and rich) exposure to all the diverse world’s experiences, and (frankly) unmatched mental prowess only THIS level of business intellectuals ever encounter. Think business problem-solving on steroids, opportunity mining at a level of sophisticated understanding that only this caliber of mind-melding creative collaboration (from so many diverse disciplines) could produce. Think about gaining a paradigm-stretching business and personal worldview that few others could grasp. Why would YOU want this continuous exposure to mammoth minds from such a wide spectrum of mental models, industries, and scenarios? The answer in two words is "Knowledge Asymmetry,” which means: When one party to an economic transaction possesses greater material knowledge than the other party. We all really want to possess as much absolute ethical advantage in just about every part of our personal and professional lives—that we can possibly acquire. Who doesn’t want to be a more masterful investor? Who doesn’t really want a healthier, fitter, more attractive body? Who doesn’t really want to understand career growth strategies or business growth approaches at a far deeper level than anyone else you compete with? Who doesn’t want to possess far greater creative thinking, innovative thinking, and strategic thinking capabilities? Who doesn’t want to be a greater persuader, collaborator, or negotiator? Who doesn’t want to know how to command greater ethical control of mindshare, attention, and trust? Relationships? Nor, frankly, do I think the target business intellect I’m after wants (in any way) to be remotely average. They frankly aren’t even content to be far above average. They’re driven (almost obsessively) to better discover, understand, and capitalize on all forms of Knowledge Asymmetry for the profound advantage of themselves and those they care about. Let’s face it—even IF we possess humility and humanity—we still want intellectual superiority. Like it or not, it’s what gives a certain caliber of mind—OUR JUICE! It’s our rocket fuel... It’s our intellectual life force! I had this vision of organizing a collective of superior thinkers two decades ago; however… I never did it, and frankly, I regret not following through. But I’m contemplating organizing a virtual equivalent of what I envisioned nearly two decades ago. Better late than never! And done right there’d be nothing remotely equivalent. That’s where a very rare few people on my database come in. Perhaps, and hopefully, YOU are one of that rarified group. I’m seeking highly intelligent/exceptionally, successful business intellects as I call them. People possessing deeply penetrating understandings of business dynamics that few other contemporaries come remotely close to fathoming. I am not looking for omnipotence—that would be delusional on my part—but I am seeking those ultra-gifted thinkers. The misfits, the rebels, the round pegs in square holes, the ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, glorify, or vilify them, but the one thing you can’t do is ignore them—because they change things. They push the human race forward. As Steve Jobs famously said, "The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." I’m looking for savants, geniuses, prodigies who’ve achieved exceptional successes yet remain unfulfilled. They too need a stimulating, intellectually formidable collective of like-minded, innovative business brains to collaborate with, to challenge and stimulate one another. My vision is ambitious, and frankly, I’m starting internally to see who (if any) or how many among those already predisposed to my mind, methods, and worldview might be suitable. I’m going to organize a highly experimental trial group of no more than fifty members. We will not meet in person until (and unless) my test version proves fruitful enough to justify making the group permanent and elite. To start with I’m only doing a three-month test run. It’s tentatively called “Playmakers Elite” because in sports the playmaker is the one who makes big things happen. Likewise, the business playmaker devises breakthrough thinking, inventive strategic thinking, and innovative new approaches. He/she is a force to reckon with. And properly selected they are forces of nature—each bringing to bear exceptional and exquisite talents, abilities beyond those of ordinary entrepreneurs. I’m inviting anyone who thinks they fit that profile to apply for pilot consideration. This first test is only a three-month test run, which will involve twice-monthly sessions where each member shares their profound brainpower, adapting and adopting it to a wide spectrum of challenges posed by other members. The price is modest at $1,850 a month, and you are welcome to withdraw any month you feel either out of your league or far overqualified. This is a bold and audacious labor of love experiment, a twenty-year dream that I am finally bringing to fruition. If you truly know (don’t merely think) your brainpower and business intellect are more highly refined and validated than most, [provide us with a few pertinent details about you and your company](. We’ll pose a respectful but ruthlessly revealing set of assessment questions to see if you stack up. Frankly, I may only find 5 or 10 deserving minds within my list. Hopefully, I’ll be pleasantly surprised and there’ll be many more. I really don’t care if I find six or sixty-six brilliant brains to collaborate with regularly. If I find none I will truly be disappointed. This gambit reminds me of a passage from the song ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK. To wit, “...the ultimate test of cerebral fitness.” [If intrigued, provide your details here.]() I’m hoping to find some truly great minds and quality human beings to share perspectives, business world views, insights, and experiential perspectives with.
