If you’re nervous, stressed, or losing hope about the election, please give this a read so we can make the case why we should remain fired up and hopeful.͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ 314 Action Fund is the only national organization working to train, recruit, support, and elect Democrats with STEM and medical backgrounds to office at all levels of government. To receive our most important updates,[click here](. We wanted to share with you why we’re still hopeful and fired up: [But before then we need to ask if you can donate one final time before Election Day so we can reach millions of key voters in swing states and swing House districts.]( One week before the election most polling showed Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers DOWN anywhere from 1-4 points. We didn’t give up – we doubled down on Tony and helped his team reach more voters in the final days of the election – and he ended up becoming the first Democratic Governor in Wisconsin to win during a midterm election under a Democratic President since the 1960s. One week before the election polling showed Dr. Yadira Caraveo DOWN 1-5 points in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District. Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gave her a 91% chance of losing. We didn’t give up – we doubled down on Yadira and connected her with voters in Colorado – and she ended up becoming the first Democrat in history to win and represent this district (and became the only pro-choice woman of color who is a doctor in ALL of Congress). One week before the election polling showed Mark Kelly DOWN 1-2 points to Sen. Martha McSally in Arizona’s Senate race as Joe Biden was projected to LOSE Arizona by 2-5 points. We didn’t give up – we doubled down on Mark and helped him close his final fundraising gaps of the election – and he ended up winning and Democrats won Arizona’s two Senate seats for the first time since the late John F. Kennedy was in office. One week before the election polling showed newly elected Representatives Kim Schrier and Lauren Underwood at risk of LOSING, jeopardizing our House majority. We didn’t give up – we doubled down on Kim and Lauren like we did in prior years – and they ended up both winning extremely competitive races and securing a Democratic trifecta for the first time in more than a decade, helping Joe Biden and Kamala Harris pass historic legislation to reduce drug prices, act on climate, rescue our economy, respond to COVID-19, repair our infrastructure, and decrease gun violence. Right now there are polls showing Kamala Harris trailing in key states. Republicans appear poised to flip the Senate and have a credible pathway to defend their House majority. We refuse to give up. And we’re going to do everything in our power to get our Democrats over the finish line and emerge VICTORIOUS one week from now. [There’s still room to scale our programs and reach even more voters: Your donation will allow us to reach them and could make ALL the difference in the dozens of TIED races across the country.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be immediately processed. Since 2017, we’ve supported more than 500+ candidates and reached millions of swing voters on their behalf with our data-driven messaging campaigns. Our candidates led the charge to flip the House in 2018, the Senate in 2021, and a handful of state legislatures in 2022. Now, there are more scientists in office than at any point in U.S. history. No one is better equipped to craft policy to address pressing issues like gun violence, climate change, healthcare reform, or restoring reproductive rights than scientific professionals. Recent polling confirms that scientific and medical professionals have some of the highest approval ratings and levels of trust among voters – Meaning our candidates are better positioned to win tough races and can cut through the partisan divide! 100% of our work is powered by individual donations and our average donation is just $19. We plan on supporting more Democratic scientists and medical professionals in virtually every state this election cycle than at any point in our history. With you by our side, we’ll defend our Senate majority, retake the House, keep the White House blue, and elect a historic wave of Democrats to state legislatures and local office.
