With the election 10 days away we wanted to give you 10 real reasons we believe Democrats can flip the House.͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ 314 Action Fund is the only national organization working to train, recruit, support, and elect Democrats with STEM and medical backgrounds to office at all levels of government. To receive our most important updates,[click here](. [Before we explain, we’re asking if you will donate $10 or more ($1 for each day remaining) so we can continue to reach 1.4 million voters each day between now and Election Day in key House races.]( Reason #1: Dr. Yadira Caraveo won the closest House race of any Democrat in 2022 and is our most vulnerable Democrat on the map. She is the one and only doctor who is a woman of color in Congress – and the latest poll has her up by just 1 point. Reason #2: John Mannion and Tony Vargas are 2 science teachers running in the 2 best flip opportunities for Democrats in the nation. The New York Times said John’s opponent is the most vulnerable Republican in the nation and Roll Call listed Tony’s opponent as one of the top five most vulnerable Republicans. Reason #3: We just got great news about 3 women engineers we’re supporting. Luz Rivas, Christina Bohannan, and Janelle Bynum ALL had their races shifted in their favor by election forecasters. Luz is running for an open seat and Janelle and Christina are both running against Republicans in districts that previously elected Democrats and recent polling has them tied. Reason #4: Democrats only need to flip 4 seats to flip the House blue. We have polling back showing four of our Democrats running for GOP-held seats leading their opponents. Reason #5: We have 5 Democrats running for GOP-held seats that Joe Biden won in 2020 (NY-22, AZ-1, OR-5, NE-2, CA-27). Reason #6: The National Journal recently compiled a list of the 20 most competitive House races in America. Our Democrats were running in 6 of those races so we launched a Joint Fundraising Agreement to get a quarter-million dollars directly invested in their races (thank YOU to everyone who has donated to that to make it such a success!). Reason #7: 7 of the Democrats we’re supporting against Republicans in GOP-held districts are outraising and outspending their opponents. When polling is tied and the margins are close, races often break in favor of who has the fundraising advantage and can reach more voters. Reason #8: We’re supporting 8 of the most vulnerable House Democrats in the nation. Dr. Yadira Caraveo was just rated the most vulnerable, Dr. Kim Schrier is the only Democrat to ever represent her district, while Lauren Underwood and Sean Casten are both representing historically Republican districts. Melanie Stansbury won a recent election by just 6 votes and Eric Sorensen is defending a seat election forecasters predicted Republicans had a 60% chance of winning last cycle. Reason #9: 9 new polls show voters prefer Congress be controlled by Democrats over Republicans by a 1-3% margin nationally. Over the past two years Republicans have presided over one of the least productive Congressional sessions in history – meanwhile Democrats had two of the most productive sessions when we held the gavel from 2018-2022. Reason #10: We’ve got 10 Democrats running in House races that were previously decided by 3% or less of the vote. Christina Bohannan is running in a race Republicans won by 6 votes, George Whitesides in a race Republicans won by 333 votes, Dr. Yadira Caraveo in a race she won by 1,600 votes, John Mannion in a race Republicans won by 2,631 votes, and Dr. Amish Shah in a race Republicans won by 3,195 votes. And the 11th reason if you needed one more? Supporters like you are the only reason we are on the ground reaching 1.4 million voters every day in battleground House races. This spending could absolutely decide the outcome of multiple races. [So can we count on you to give $10 or more with the election 10 days away to power our Democrats to VICTORY?Â]( [314 Action supporter card featuring a bunch of our candidates.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be immediately processed.. Since 2017, we’ve supported more than 500+ candidates and reached millions of swing voters on their behalf with our data-driven messaging campaigns. Our candidates led the charge to flip the House in 2018, the Senate in 2021, and a handful of state legislatures in 2022. Now, there are more scientists in office than at any point in U.S. history. No one is better equipped to craft policy to address pressing issues like gun violence, climate change, healthcare reform, or restoring reproductive rights than scientific professionals. Recent polling confirms that scientific and medical professionals have some of the highest approval ratings and levels of trust among voters – Meaning our candidates are better positioned to win tough races and can cut through the partisan divide! 100% of our work is powered by individual donations and our average donation is just $19. We plan on supporting more Democratic scientists and medical professionals in virtually every state this election cycle than at any point in our history. With you by our side, we’ll defend our Senate majority, retake the House, keep the White House blue, and elect a historic wave of Democrats to state legislatures and local office.
