Donald Trump will be in Georgia TODAY to rally Republicans. That’s why we need your help to give Georgia Democrats the BOOST they need to win big!͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ 314 Action Fund is the only national organization working to train, recruit, support, and elect Democrats with STEM and medical backgrounds to office at all levels of government. [Stacey Abrams]( She’s right: Particularly with Congressional gridlock and divided government, it’s often your state government and representatives passing laws on abortion access, gun safety, public education, state healthcare coverage and taxes, environmental protection, and climate access. We wanted to introduce you to three incredible Georgia Democrats we’re supporting in tough races – one is an election security expert running against one of Donald Trump’s ‘Fake Electors,’ another is a pioneering Black doctor who is the most vulnerable Georgia Democrat on the ballot (she only won by 300 votes!), and the other is a trail-blazing physician who became the first Asian American woman to ever serve in the Georgia State Senate. Donald Trump will be in Georgia TODAY to rally Republicans in this must-win state. That’s why we wanted to fight back by giving Georgia Democrats the BOOST they need to win big in 14 days! Meet Ashwin, Jasmine, and Michelle – [Then donate DIRECTLY to their incredibly competitive campaigns in the final stretch of the election so we can power Democrats to VICTORY in Georgia!]( [Ashwin Ramaswami]( Ramaswami (GA SD-48) – Ashwin never imagined he would run for office. He was a cybersecurity expert who worked to protect the integrity of our elections from outside threats. Then his State Senator, Republican Shawn Still, was exposed for plotting to assist Donald Trump with overturning the results of the election in Georgia. Still was then indicted along with 17 others for impersonating a Georgia Election Official to try and transfer Georgia’s Electoral Votes to Joe Biden as a ‘Fake Elector.’ Still refuses to step down and brags about his role in trying to steal the election so Ashwin decided to challenge him himself in one of the most competitive Georgia Senate seats on the ballot!  [Dr. Jasmine Clark](. Jasmine Clark (GA HD-108) – Jasmine originally had no intentions of running for office. She earned her PhD in microbiology and molecular genetics, teaches medical students at Emory University, and is a pioneering researcher in the field of treating patients with HIV/AIDS. Then Donald Trump became President and attacked scientists and researchers like her – so she Directed Atlanta’s March for Science and decided to run against one of Trump’s loyal allies in Georgia. This was considered a safe GOP district and she was viewed as having slim chances of winning – and then she flipped the seat by just 300 votes (then defended this seat by just 1,000 votes!). Jasmine is considered the most vulnerable Georgia Democrat in the State House and building up towards flipping the increasingly competitive State House requires defending this seat.  [Dr. Michelle Au](. Michelle Au (GA HD-50) – After treating Georgia families for over a decade, Michelle went back to school to get a degree in public health and realized the best way for her to provide for her patients and fulfill her oath as a doctor was to get involved in politics to improve access to care. Georgia is one of 10 states that still refuses to expand Medicaid, which would cover 671,000 Georgians! So she ran for State Senate and won a highly competitive race to become the only pro-choice physician in the Georgia State Legislature, the only public official with a degree in public health, and the first Asian American woman to serve in the State Senate. Republicans – who worried she was a rising star in politics – then eliminated her seat in the State Senate to gerrymander the state to be safely in GOP hands. Now she’s running for a highly competitive State House seat to continue her work (including landmark bills on gun violence and reproductive rights). If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be immediately processed and split between Ashwin Ramaswami, Dr. Jasmine Clark, and Dr. Michelle Au. Since 2017, we’ve supported more than 500+ candidates and reached millions of swing voters on their behalf with our data-driven messaging campaigns. Our candidates led the charge to flip the House in 2018, the Senate in 2021, and a handful of state legislatures in 2022. Now, there are more scientists in office than at any point in U.S. history. No one is better equipped to craft policy to address pressing issues like gun violence, climate change, healthcare reform, or restoring reproductive rights than scientific professionals. Recent polling confirms that scientific and medical professionals have some of the highest approval ratings and levels of trust among voters – Meaning our candidates are better positioned to win tough races and can cut through the partisan divide! 100% of our work is powered by individual donations and our average donation is just $19. We plan on supporting more Democratic scientists and medical professionals in virtually every state this election cycle than at any point in our history. With you by our side, we’ll defend our Senate majority, retake the House, keep the White House blue, and elect a historic wave of Democrats to state legislatures and local office.
