Here’s why: --------------------------------------------------------------- PENNSYLVANIA: Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight recently labeled Pennsylvania the “tipping-point state.” In their models, this is the state that has the highest likelihood of deciding which candidate reaches 270 Electoral Votes. Currently, Donald Trump is spending $40 million to win Pennsylvania, which was one of the three states that helped propel him to victory in 2016 (Democrats only lost by 0.7%!). We’ve got more than a dozen candidates running in Pennsylvania and, like we did in 2022, are investing here to power Democrats to victory in this critical state. The latest polls have Kamala Harris and Donald Trump TIED and our candidates will decide whether Democrats can defend their (now tied!) State House majority. --------------------------------------------------------------- ARIZONA: If Kamala Harris doesn’t win the Rust Belt states of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, AND Michigan, her best bet to still get to 270 Electoral Votes is here in Arizona. Joe Biden won Arizona by one of the thinnest margins of a swing state in recent history by 0.3% which helped him defeat Trump in 2020. Trump is currently spending more than $16 million to win Arizona. Our candidates in Arizona are running in the races that could flip BOTH chambers of the state legislature and the House (Arizona has several highly competitive House seats). We invested heavily here in 2020 and 2022 (including to elect Mark Kelly) and are actively investing in the state to reach voters as we speak. --------------------------------------------------------------- MICHIGAN: Michigan, like Pennsylvania in 2016, was one of three states that delivered Donald Trump the White House that year (Democrats only lost by 0.3%!). If Kamala can win the Rust Belt states (Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania) she doesn’t need to win Arizona or Georgia or North Carolina or Nevada to reach 270 Electoral Votes! But that’s exactly why Trump is spending more in Michigan than almost any other state ($20 million). We’re supporting more than a dozen candidates in Michigan and invested in helping Democrats regain the State House majority in a special election earlier this year.
