The 15 selected are each profiled and have their work published in this issue, the 13th iteration of Ones to Watch. Nominees from previous years include Salih Basheer, Rehab Eldalil and Micaiah Carter.⁠ Our 2024 Ones to Watch are: ⁠Ibrahim Azab Teva Cosic Imane Djamil Sènami Donoumassou Saad Eltinay Devashish Gaur My-Lan Hoang-Thuy Vuyo Mabheka Michał Maliński Karice Mitchell Hashim Nasr Bandia Ribeira Farhana Satu Rafael Soldi Varvara Uhlik The magazine cover is an image from Michał Maliński’s series Vita Aeterna, in which the Polish artist explores his grandmother’s interest in alternative medicines. This issue also features our regular Agenda and Intelligence sections, in which we preview the most exciting exhibitions – including Les Rencontres d’Arles and The Real Thing at The Met – and interrogate current trends in photography and its changing institutions.
