Together, these forces want to circumvent the First Amendment, suppress conservative speech and political activity, and push their own false and dishonest narrative about American history and about what’s happening today. More and more, stories that question the far-Left’s narrative are dubiously “fact-checked” or censored outright, while conservative opponents of the Left are “de-platformed.” We have never seen anything like what we are seeing today in America! The roots of our current crisis can be traced to the late 1960s when radicals who scorned America and its way of life began taking over our colleges and universities. It took them several decades to cement their dominance over American higher education, but we are seeing the fruits of their labors today: we see it in the media, and we see it in Silicon Valley. We are also seeing it in professional sports, in corporate America—much of which is now capitulating to far-Left demands—and increasingly in K-12 education. Liberty in America is under serious threat. As I travel around the country, worried citizens ask me if there is a way to meet this crisis. I never hesitate to say there is, despite how uphill the fight may seem. A vital part of the fight—and one in which Hillsdale College is uniquely able to lead—is to reach and teach additional millions of citizens with the TRUTH about America’s great heritage of liberty. You are making that fight possible by supporting our educational outreach efforts, such as Imprimis, America’s leading digest of liberty. Hillsdale launched Imprimis over 50 years ago to promote limited government, free enterprise, individual rights, personal responsibility, and a strong national defense. Each issue covers a timely political, economic, or cultural issue from a constitutional perspective. Today, with the far Left’s dramatic escalation of its assault on free speech and informed patriotism, Imprimis is more critical than ever. Think of what we have seen in the last few years: unprecedented and unconstitutional lockdowns, lawless violence in our cities, and even the destruction of historical monuments. On top of this, we are now seeing an escalation of the effort to shut off any debate about these issues—an effort to limit or curtail speech that is simply and clearly un-American. There is a good reason that conservative radio and TV host Mark Levin says Imprimis is the publication he most looks forward to reading each month. You’ll be pleased to know that its circulation has grown this year to more than 6.6 million. That’s 6.6 million paper copies that are mailed to homes and businesses ten times per year. Our research also shows that Imprimis subscribers share their copy with two to three other people on average, giving Imprimis even greater reach and influence. And while a circulation of more than 6.6 million is undoubtedly impressive—Imprimis has a greater circulation than the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times—we are determined to do more. Since Imprimis launched in 1972 with a circulation of about 1,000, Hillsdale College has never charged for a subscription. But the fact that we offer Imprimis free of charge does not mean that producing and mailing Imprimis is without cost. Even using non-profit postage rates, the price for printing and mailing each issue of Imprimis to so many subscribers ten times a year is a significant financial undertaking. Our immediate goal is to increase the circulation of Imprimis to over 7 million American households and businesses this year. To do so, we must address the question of production and mailing costs. Your generous support today will help us reach our Imprimis goal and expand our other successful educational outreach efforts. You know that education is liberty’s surest defense—and that education is needed now more than ever! That’s why, in addition to Imprimis, we are investing in our other educational outreach efforts on behalf of liberty. We’re doing this through our [Project to Defend Liberty Nationwide by Reaching and Teaching Millions](. These efforts include: - Educating millions of Americans, especially younger Americans, through free online courses—on topics including the Constitution, American history, and free-market economics. - Providing hundreds of thousands of young Americans with free copies of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution—Hillsdale has already distributed over 600,000 free copies of these founding documents, and we receive more requests every week. - Educating thousands of K-12 students in Hillsdale-affiliated classical K-12 public and private schools—there are already more than 90 such schools across the country, each having a strong curricular component in American civics. I hope you’ll agree that after everything we’ve seen in the last few years, the need for Imprimis and Hillsdale’s other educational outreach efforts is undeniable. Hillsdale is the only college in America equipped to reach and teach increasing millions of Americans about our nation’s great heritage of liberty and about the need to defend freedom and limited government. Almost unique among American colleges and universities, Hillsdale refuses to accept ONE PENNY of government funding—not even indirectly in the form of federal or state student grants and loans. This frees us from much burdensome and corrupting federal regulation. This independence from the government also means that our work is entirely dependent on the generous support of private citizens, like you, who understand the importance of education to liberty. [Will you give generously to our Project to Defend Liberty Nationwide by Reaching and Teaching Millions —which includes expanding the reach and influence of Imprimis](? If you agree that we are now seeing an unprecedented assault on American principles and the American way of life, please show your support for Hillsdale College with a generous tax-deductible gift today. I hope you will stand with us as we engage the far Left, along with its media and Big Tech allies, on the battlefield of education. Warm regards, Larry P. Arnn President, Hillsdale College Pursuing Truth and Defending Liberty Since 1844 P.S. Liberty in America is under threat, and education is the only long-term solution. That’s why we are greatly expanding our national educational outreach, such as Imprimis, free online courses, K-12 curricula and support, and much more. And we need your help to do so! Please make a generous, tax-deductible gift in support of liberty and education at this secure link: [(. Thank you again for saving young people through education. 1600 Daily PO Box 461 Fort Collins, CO 80522 [unsubscribe]( | [manage data preferences](
